GUIDELINES FOR EXITING FROM BRUNEI DARUSSALAM AND

ENTERING INTO BRUNEI DARUSSALAM VIA AIR TRAVEL DURING

EARLY ENDEMIC PHASE


I. EXITING FROM BRUNEI DARUSSALAM


Objective:

  1. To serve as a guideline for outbound staff to their home country via air travel during the early endemic phase.

  2. To follow proper procedures upon departure from Brunei Darussalam according to the government regulations.


    A. PRE-DEPARTURE REQUIREMENTS


    1. Apply for exit approval from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for outbound travel.


    2. Once approved by PMO through email, can apply for single entry visa from


    Employment Agency

  3. Make payment for the pre-departure PCR Swab Test (BND80) before departure date

    • Payment can be made few days before appointment for pre-departure swab test or on the day of the actual pre-departure swab test

    • Payment can be made in the main building RIPAS Hospital, Counter 16

    • Payment counter will be open from 8 AM - 3 PM (Monday to Thursday and Saturday). Counter will be closed on Friday, Sunday and public holidays.

  4. Pre-departure PCR Swab Test - 48 Hours before departure from Brunei Darussalam

    • To be done at Sports Complex, RIPAS Hospital

    • The operating hours will be from 8 AM - 8 PM (Monday to Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) and 8 AM - 12 PM and 2 PM - 8 PM on Fridays.

    • The swab centre will be closed from 12 PM - 1 PM everyday for disinfecting works.

    • Documents to bring: Passport copy, printed exit approval, flight itinerary and payment receipt BND80



The requirements will be made by HR Department of the company

B. DURING CHECK-IN AT THE AIRPORT, YOU MUST SHOW THE DOCUMENTS TO THE

AIRLINE AUTHORITIES :


  1. Vaccination Record - Full vaccination for COVID-19

    - Either digital certificate on BruHealth App or the Yellow Book

  2. Valid Passport

  3. Valid Exit Approval (printed)

  4. Flight Itinerary

  5. Negative PCR Swab Test 48 hours (which was taken before departure)


C. POST-ARRIVAL PROCEDURE

Upon arrival at the airport of the home country, kindly follow the respected guidelines and procedures that are set by the airport authorities.

II. ENTERING BRUNEI DARUSSALAM


Objective:

  1. To serve as a guideline for inbound staff from their home country via air travel during the early endemic phase.

  2. To follow proper procedures upon departure from the home country and upon arrival in Brunei Darussalam according to the government regulations.


A. PRE-DEPARTURE REQUIREMENTS


1. Apply for Entry Travel Pass (ETP) from PMO website for inbound travel at least 8


days prior to arrival in Brunei Darussalam

  1. Pre-departure PCR Swab Test - 48 Hours before coming to Brunei Darussalam

    • To be taken at a medical centre that is officially recognized by the government of originating country

  2. Negative swab test COVID-19 result certification needs to be presented to the airline authorities upon departure before traveling to Brunei Darussalam

  3. Completing online application Arrival Declaration Form (ADF) at

    http://www.pmo.gov.bn/travelportal in no more than 24 hours before departure to Brunei Darussalam

  4. Make early payment for the post arrival PCR and ART Swab Test (BND100)

    before arrival date

  5. Obtain payment receipt authorized by the Government of Brunei Darussalam or Ministry of Health

    • Provide a scanned copy of receipt to the airline authorities when required

    • The receipt must state the correct name and passport number



7. **Valid Travel Health insurance with COVID-19 coverage (minimum coverage of


BND50,000) from their preferred insurance agent or company prior to travelling to


Brunei Darussalam.


- To present the travel insurance certificate as proof upon arrival.


- ONLY REQUIRED FOR FOREIGN NATIONALS IF STAYING IN BRUNEI


FOR SHORT-TERM TRIP IN LESS THAN 90 DAYS (3 MONTHS)

B. DURING CHECK-IN AT THE AIRPORT, YOU MUST SHOW THE DOCUMENTS TO THE

AIRLINE AUTHORITIES


  1. Vaccination Record - Full vaccination for COVID-19

    - Either digital certificate on BruHealth App or the Yellow Book

  2. Valid Passport

  3. Valid Entry Travel Pass (printed)

  4. Completed Arrival Declaration Form (ADF)

  5. Proof of BruHealth app installation on mobile device

  6. Negative PCR Swab Test 48 hours (which was taken before departure)

  7. Scanned copy of payment receipt for post-arrival PCR and ART swab test which will be conducted upon arrival

  8. Booking/reservation for hotel accommodation in Brunei Darussalam for mandatory self-isolation upon arrival

  9. Valid visa / valid immigration pass



10. **Valid Travel Health insurance with COVID-19 coverage (minimum coverage of


BND50,000) from their preferred insurance agent or company prior to traveling to


Brunei Darussalam.

FOR SHORT-TERM TRIP IN LESS THAN 90 DAYS (3 MONTHS)

C. POST-ARRIVAL PROCEDURES


  1. Undergo immediate ART Swab Test in Brunei International Airport

  2. Mandatory self-isolation at declared hotel accommodation

    • For a period of between 2 to 14 days depending on self-isolation notice given and as determined by the Ministry of Health

  3. You must not leave hotel accommodation during the self-isolation period except to undergo PCR Swab Test at Sports Complex, RIPAS Hospital and until the results of PCR Swab Test shows negative.

    • Arrival day is Day 0 - self isolation, Day 5 - PCR Swab Test ,

  4. PCR Swab Test on assigned day (Day 5) will be brought by hotel-provided transportation to swab centre (Sports Complex, RIPAS Hospital)

    • Using PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION during self-isolation period is NOT ALLOWED

  5. After finishing self-isolation at a declared hotel, you are required to isolate yourself at the respective staff houses until the total period of isolation has reached 14 days

  6. In case you are to be tested positive for COVID-19, an immediate medical treatment will be offered


7. Standard self-isolation days following the results of swab test:

- Negative result - Less than 14 days

- Positive result - At most 14 days
